McKinney Meeting

Doctor tells the story of the Benton Harbor riots from a completely different viewpoint than the media presented it. This is really a very worth while video to watch.

White and black meet in unity to hear about fighting injustices

This was a very enlightening meeting for me. For one, I found out the riots in Benton Harbor last year were started when the police broke up a candle light funeral parade and destroyed the monument they were paying reverence to. I certainly never heard that story from the general media. The black police chief had actually given the order to "shoot to kill" women, children, babies, and old men. My heart and soul is with the people of Benton Harbor.

Postscript: A day after this meeting, the Berrien County Sheriff's Department arrested the Rev. Pinkney for criticizing the Justice System. So much for the First Amendment! Judge Alan Butzbaugh's law firm with his name on it shares offices with Ship Street Realty, which is developing Jean Klock Park, which the Reverend was fighting. Is this a conflict of interest, or does it just appear to be a conflict of interest. Perhaps the Rev was right in his criticism.
